Can you help with installation and initial setup?

Display & troubleshooting

The bar is not showing on my storefront. What should I check?

First, confirm that the Shopify discount you are using is active, and try clearing your theme cache / reloading the page. If the bar still does not appear, please let us know your theme name, any customizations, and the URL where the problem occurs.

Discount display & application

Why does the "remaining uses" number sometimes update with a delay?

The remaining usage count is based on Shopify's discount usage data. Shopify may update discount usage statistics asynchronously, so the number shown in the bar may take a few minutes to reflect the latest orders. However, the discount limit itself is enforced by Shopify during checkout, so customers cannot exceed the configured usage limit.

The discount is not applied at checkout / the one-click apply link does not work. What should I check?

Please check: that the discount is active in Shopify admin; that the customer’s cart meets the discount conditions (eligible products, minimum quantity, validity period, etc.); and for one-use-per-customer discounts, that the customer has not already used it. The one-click apply link in the bar takes the customer to Shopify checkout and applies the discount at that point. For code-based discounts, some themes may not auto-fill the code. If it still does not work, please send us your store URL, theme name, and reproduction steps via the form.

How can I change the bar text or the order of display items?

The text shown in the bar is generated automatically from your Shopify discount settings. You can change the front label, rear label, and the order of display items (discount content, remaining uses, expiry, apply button) in the theme editor under the DPA Discount Bar App Block settings, without editing code.

Can I show multiple campaigns at once?

Yes. DPA Discount Bar supports up to 5 promotion slots so you can display multiple discounts side by side. On the Free plan only slot #1 is available; Basic allows 3 slots and Pro allows 5. You can assign a different Shopify discount to each slot.

Plans & billing

What is the difference between Free, Basic, and Pro?

Free includes 1 promotion slot and 1,000 Bar display requests per month. Basic includes 3 slots and 10,000 requests/month; Pro includes 5 slots and 50,000 requests/month. Usage billing (charges for requests over the plan limit) is available on Basic and Pro only. The Free plan bar shows “Powered by DPA.” Pricing is $12/month for Basic and $19/month for Pro. You can see the full comparison in the app under “View plan details.”

What is usage billing (monthly cap)?

Usage billing is an optional charge that applies only when you exceed the Bar display requests included in your plan. When enabled, the bar keeps updating at high frequency even after you hit the limit. Charges are based on a per-request rate ($0.20 / 1,000 requests), and you can set a monthly cap so your bill does not exceed that amount. When disabled, the bar continues to show after the limit but at standard update frequency. Usage billing is available on Basic and Pro plans.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

In Shopify admin, open DPA Discount Bar from Apps, then click “View plan details” in the Plan and usage section. You will see the plan comparison and steps to upgrade, downgrade, or switch to Free. Follow the on-screen instructions; depending on the change, you may see Shopify’s payment approval screen.

When does the "Bar display requests" number on the app home update after the bar is shown on my store?

It does not update in real time. The number is updated from aggregated access logs, so it typically refreshes about every 15 minutes and may be delayed by up to several tens of minutes depending on log delivery.

When does the monthly Bar display request count reset?

It resets monthly in UTC, at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month. You can see which month is shown in the app home under "Usage period: [Month] (UTC)".
